About The Position
CHE Behavioral Health Services is hiring a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join its clinician-led, APA-approved behavioral health team. The organization serves adult and geriatric patients across partnered facilities. The role is based in Murrieta, California, and offers full-time or part-time arrangements, with fee-for-service or salaried compensation options. Clinicians can create their own schedule Monday through Friday between 7 AM and 7 PM. The position offers a consistent caseload, work close to home, and no nights, weekends, or on-call duties. The PMHNP conducts psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits, develops and evaluates treatment plans, and prescribes and manages psychotropic medications. The clinician collaborates with an integrated care team and distinguishes psychological from physiological disorders. The role also includes consultation on complex or unusual clinical cases.
Requirements
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) in Psychiatric/Mental Health.
- ANCC PMHNP certification.
- Active DEA license.
- Experience in psychotropic medication management.
- At least 2 years of experience is required.
Nice To Haves
- Family Nurse Practitioners with 3–5 years of psychiatric experience will be considered.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate treatment plans.
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications.
- Collaborate with an integrated care team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, LCSWs, and nursing staff.
- Distinguish and diagnose psychological versus physiological disorders.
- Consult on complex or unusual clinical cases.
