About The Position

Centennial Surgery, a division of CHI Mercy Health, is seeking an Acute Care General Surgeon to join a high-volume practice in Roseburg, Oregon. The surgeon will provide emergency surgery coverage and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to manage complex acute cases and improve patient outcomes. The practice includes five surgeons, four with 5–20+ years of operative experience, and offers 24/7 access to two da Vinci robotic systems, supportive staff, and consistent RNFA support during most daytime hours and weekends.

This is a competitive, full-time salaried position with optional additional wRVU production and a week-on/week-off schedule. The position offers a sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, paid vacation, an annual CME allowance, and an opportunity for ancillary income through membership in an outpatient surgery management group. J1-waiver and H1-B visa sponsorship are available. The organization has 501(c)(3) status, making the role eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF).

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
• Specialty training at an ACGME-accredited facility.
• Board certification or board eligibility from the American Board of Surgery.
• Oregon medical license and DEA certificate.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• At least three years of independent surgical practice.

Nice To Haves

• Three or more years of independent surgical experience.
• Experience performing complex acute cases and initial trauma evaluations.
