Requirements

  • Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with active Maryland licensure (or eligibility)
  • Experience in acute care, emergency medicine, surgery, or inpatient hospital-based practice strongly preferred
  • Comfort working in high-pressure, rapidly evolving clinical environments
  • Strong clinical judgment, procedural aptitude, and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centered surgical care

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive evaluations and manage acute surgical patients
  • Assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and coordination of emergency surgical care
  • Support pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative management
  • Respond to emergent surgical consults and inpatient needs
  • Collaborate closely with attending surgeons and care teams on complex cases
  • Ensure timely documentation, communication, and continuity of care across shifts
