Requirements

• Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with active Maryland licensure (or eligibility)
• Prior experience in acute care, surgery, emergency medicine, or hospital-based practice preferred
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage complex inpatient cases
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered surgical care

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute surgical patients during day operations
• Support inpatient surgical consults and ongoing surgical service coverage
• Assist in perioperative care, including pre- and post-operative management
• Collaborate with attending surgeons on treatment plans and clinical decision-making
• Coordinate care across disciplines to ensure seamless patient flow and outcomes
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and clinical communication
