About The Position
Markel invites college juniors graduating in May 2028 or recently graduated to join our Actuarial department for a transformative summer internship experience in 2027. As an intern at Markel—a global, publicly traded insurance company—you’ll gain hands-on exposure to the real-world operations of our Actuarial department. Whether you're working in pricing, reserving, or actuarial operations, you'll collaborate directly with experienced actuaries and contribute to meaningful projects that drive business decisions. Requirements
- College juniors graduating in May 2028 or recently graduated
- Strong academic performance (GPA 3.5+)
- Majoring in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
- Proven leadership, analytical thinking, and communication skills
- Proficient in data tools and technology
- Enthusiastic about the property and casualty insurance industry
- US Work Authorization required. Markel does not provide visa sponsorship for this position, now or in the future.
