About The Position

This role involves collecting, validating, and maintaining complex financial and operational data to ensure accuracy and integrity of results. The Actuarial Associate will organize and structure large datasets for analysis and reporting, perform quantitative analyses including present and future value calculations, and assess premiums, reserves, liabilities, profits, and cash flows across insurance products. The position requires preparing studies of financial experience, applying actuarial and financial modeling techniques to evaluate performance, and preparing analyses for senior management. Additionally, the role involves developing, enhancing, and maintaining reporting and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, SQL, Excel) to support financial and actuarial modeling processes, and designing/validating templates and automated tools for key performance metrics. The associate will analyze and interpret financial results, identify risks, and validate underlying assumptions for strategic and regulatory decision-making, conduct actuarial research and statistical analyses, and perform special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).
  • Two (2) years of experience as an Actuarial Associate, Actuarial Associate – Financial Planning and Analysis or related occupation driving product implementation, enhancing valuation systems, validating reserves, and streamlining reporting and assumption analyses.
  • Experience building, maintaining, and interpreting financial templates and visualizations, including income statements and balance sheets, primarily using Excel.
  • Experience working with large and complex data sets to generate actuarial insights, performing regular data validation, reconciliation, and updates to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Experience developing and maintaining financial and actuarial models incorporating actuarial assumptions including mortality, lapse, reserve.
  • Experience developing and maintaining financial and actuarial models incorporating actuarial assumptions for mortality, lapse, interest, sales, and Value of New Business (VNB).
  • Experience evaluating financial and actuarial results to assess risk, profitability, and business implications.
  • Experience reporting actuarial insights effectively through reports, presentations, and professional documentation, emphasizing clarity, risk analysis, and business impact.
  • Must have passed at least 4 actuarial exams.
  • Must be actively pursuing ASA and FSA.
