ABOUT THE ROLE Located in San Francisco, the Senior Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) –you will serve as a key finance partner to the North America sales team. In this role, you will deliver financial, strategic, and operational insights that support goal achievement and drive profitable growth. You will play an important role in planning, forecasting, and reporting while providing perspective on trade investment effectiveness, financial performance, and growth opportunities. As a core finance contributor on cross-functional teams, you will help inform strategic decisions, strengthen financial processes and controls, and support long-term sales growth objectives for the Lifestyle Brands organization. This role offers the opportunity to see the direct impact of your work while leveraging your financial foundation and expanding your business acumen through close collaboration with sales leaders and cross-functional partners. Success will be measured by your ability to deliver accurate financial plans and reporting, translate data into meaningful insights, and support the sales team in executing business strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting and 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance with at least 1+ year experience with reporting tools OR ERP systems (SAP/Tellus/Power BI)
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship for full-time employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with owning a financial forecast and other financial processes, including financial modeling, budgeting, and variance tracking, with experience presenting this in a succinct and fact-based manner to enable decision making with cross-functional business partners.
  • Experience in managing multiple priorities with time-critical deadlines.
  • Understanding of basic accounting concepts (accruals and account reconciliations).
  • Proven ability to make recommendations, collaborate, and influence cross-functional partners.
  • Ability to condense disparate data streams into meaningful insights while continuously finding ways to work more efficiently.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, and knowledge of SAP, BPC, or other ERP systems and reporting tools.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to interact with all organizational levels.
  • Sense of curiosity, with an appetite to learn about our business and underlying drivers.

Responsibilities

  • Support sales teams in trade forecasts, assessing risk and opportunities to our objectives, and developing contingencies to deliver on commitments.
  • Prepare analysis of trade spending, as part of trade ROI improvement, and provide recommendations to optimize effectiveness.
  • Provide financial modeling and recommendations to cross-functional teams to support customer meetings and solutions to business issues.
  • Collaborate with sales planning and supply chain teams on trade spend management and forecasting, including supply chain discounts, returns and terms.
  • Generate timely and accurate reports for month end process, commentary, forecasts, and monthly trade reviews with leadership.
  • Deliver clear verbal and written explanations of your findings that translate into strategic recommendations and build relationships with key business partners.
  • Participate in special projects with cross-functional project teams supporting ad hoc reviews for expansion of channel and/or item distribution and ad hoc analysis.
