Actors/Customer Service for Kids Birthday Parties (Chicago)
About The Position
Kids Science Labs (KSL), a leader in hands-on science education, is seeking energetic and passionate individuals to join their Birthday Team. This part-time role involves delivering exceptional birthday party experiences for children aged 4-12 on weekends. Team members will guide kids through fun, hands-on science experiments like slime and chemical reactions at KSL's Chicago locations. The role requires engaging groups of children and parents, adapting to a dynamic environment, and embodying KSL's mission. This position is ideal for those who enjoy working with children, are motivated, and seek an energizing, non-mundane job that enhances engagement skills. Successful candidates will collaborate with a team of 3-4 individuals to ensure a memorable experience for guests. This role can also serve as a stepping stone for those aspiring to become teachers at Kids Science Labs.
Requirements
- Open availability on Saturday and Sunday.
- Previous customer service experience preferably in childcare (babysitting), theater, education or retail.
- Ability to demonstrate the ability to engage a child.

Responsibilities
- Deliver an exceptional birthday party experience to kids and their families on the weekend.
- Guide kids in their discovery of slime, chemical reactions, and other fun hands-on science experiences.
- Engage groups of young kids and parents, laugh, and believe strongly in KSL's mission.
- Deliver a memorable experience while leading groups of 10-20 kids in hands-on science mixing experiments.
- Assist other team members to execute the plan flawlessly.
- Be genuine.
- Successfully manage the dynamic environment of a birthday party.
- Be responsible and reliable as a teammate.
- Communicate well both verbally and via electronic communication.
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service.
