About The Position

Elite Home Care, Day Centers & Transportation is seeking a compassionate and energetic Activity/Member Assistant in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The role supports elderly and young adult members in a supportive, engaging environment. The assistant helps plan and carry out activities, provides hands-on personal care, and helps maintain a safe, positive, and organized setting. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with no weekends or holidays.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reliable transportation and/or a valid driver's license.
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Clean background check and drug test.
• Physical ability to assist members with personal care tasks.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with elderly or disabled individuals.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activity Director in planning and implementing activities such as arts and crafts, music, games, and educational programs.
• Provide hands-on assistance with activities of daily living, including feeding, toileting, and dressing.
• Engage with members and foster a positive, interactive environment.
• Set up and clean activity areas to maintain a safe and organized space.
• Redirect behaviors as needed to promote a supportive atmosphere.
• Monitor and document changes in client behavior or health and report them to the RN Administrator.
• Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
