Activity Associate - Mount Joy
About The Position
The Activity Associate assists in creating, planning, and implementing the Connections program, the daily activities for residents. The role supports resident leisure contentment and physical, mental, and psychological well-being. Duties include entering resident information into multiple systems, collecting resident profiles, assisting the activity department as needed, and helping plan, develop, organize, implement, and evaluate the community’s Connections activity program. This is a per-diem position with shifts on Monday, Friday, and every other weekend from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Starting pay is $16.00 per hour. Requirements
- High school diploma.
- At least 21 years old.
- Valid state driver's license.
- Knowledge of the physiology and psychology of older adults.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid.
Nice To Haves
- Education in therapeutic recreation, psychology, gerontology, or another related field.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or service-related setting.
