About The Position

The Activity Assistant brings joy and fulfillment to active seniors through creativity and engagement. In a vibrant senior environment, the role organizes activities that support residents’ cognitive, social, and physical needs. The Activity Assistant works side by side with the Activity Director to plan, develop, coordinate, and implement activities for patients and residents.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and proof of liability insurance.
Reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

College credits preferred.
Aptitude for arts and crafts and some training in arts and crafts preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with planning, developing, coordinating, and implementing activities for patients and residents.
Assist with transporting participants, communicating, and setting up for activities in and out of the facility on a regular basis.
Order and pick up materials for activities as needed.
Conduct one-on-one activity therapy to provide sensory stimulation.
Conduct group activities to help patients and residents make personal progress.
