About The Position

The Wealshire is seeking a part-time Activity Assistant/Life Enrichment Aide for its Medina Community, an assisted living community specializing in memory care. The role supports resident well-being by helping lead group activities and providing one-to-one programs. The position pays $20–$22 per hour, based on experience, and offers shifts from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or 11:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The schedule requires working every other weekend and every other holiday.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

• One or more years of experience as an Activity Assistant preferred.
• Experience in long-term care and memory care preferred.
• Musical or artistic abilities are a plus but are not required.
• Outgoing and energetic personality.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Life Enrichment by leading small, medium, and large resident group activities.
• Prepare rooms, equipment, and supplies before each program and clean up afterward.
• Conduct one-to-one programs with residents who are low functioning.
• Clean and care for bird aviaries on Tuesdays and Saturdays, or as instructed by the Life Enrichment Director.
• Keep supplies and equipment neat, organized, and in their appropriate places.
• Assist with feeding residents at mealtimes as needed.
