About The Position
Oconto Health and Rehabilitation Center is hiring an Activity Assistant to join its Life Enrichment team. The Activity Aide assists the Enrichment Director with activities and events for residents, helping create comfort, stimulation, community, and individualized programming. This is a part-time position located in Oconto, Wisconsin.
Responsibilities
- Assist the resident activity director as needed.
- Use the environment to provide comfort and stimulation to residents.
- Foster a sense of community within the center.
- Lead and participate in individual and group activities.
- Use a variety of models for individualized programming, including pet therapy, music therapy, and art therapy.
- Assist with decorating the facility and preparing for special events and seasonal parties.
- Participate in recreational programs for residents confined to their rooms.
- Maintain records of activities and attendance.
- Store activity equipment and supplies, and clean the area after activities conclude.
- Provide or arrange comfort and support for residents and families when needed.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
