About The Position

Spring Arbor Senior Living of Frederick, Maryland, is seeking an Activities & Wellness Assistant to enrich the lives of Assisted Living residents. Under the guidance of the Activities & Wellness Director, this role develops and implements programs that promote wellness, recreation, education, and spiritual growth. The posting describes this particular opening as part-time, working every other weekend. It also lists schedule options of full-time Monday through Friday with every other weekend, or part-time Wednesday and every other weekend.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Understanding of the needs of seniors.
• Flexibility to assist with weekend and evening events.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• One to two years of experience in a related field.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Create and facilitate group and one-on-one activities, providing varied and meaningful programs for residents.
• Track and document resident participation in activities.
• Help decorate the community for holidays and special events and keep bulletin boards updated.
• Design and distribute monthly activity calendars to residents, families, and prospects.
• Safely transport residents to scheduled activities and appointments.
