About The Position

Our community in Owatonna, MN, is looking for an individual to lead our Wellness Team as a Wellness Director. The ideal candidate must have at least 2 years of experience in a related field, working with seniors, and leadership experience. This position must have a valid driver's license to drive our activities bus. Our dedicated associates work to enhance the lives of our residents every day with respect, compassion and trust. Requirements

  • Must meet qualifications as required by federal regulations §483.15(f)(2)
  • Is a qualified therapeutic recreation specialist or an activities professional who-- Is licensed or registered, if applicable, by the State in which practicing; and Is eligible for certification as a therapeutic recreation specialist or as an activities professional by a recognized accrediting body on or after October 1, 1990; or Has 2 years of experience in a social or recreational program within the last 5 years, 1 of which was full-time in a patient activities program in a health care setting; or Is a qualified occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant; or Has completed a training course approved by the State.
  • Valid Driver’s license appropriate for the type of vehicle assigned to operate
  • Acceptable driving record that meets Benedictine requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience in a related field, working with seniors
  • Leadership experience
  • Must have a valid driver's license to drive our activities bus.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Recreational Therapy, Exercise Physiology
  • Experience in long term care
  • Manager experience
  • Experience coordinating volunteer programs
  • BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the selection, training, development, and performance of assigned staff.
  • Ensures financial viability of department, including the development, management, and accountability of budgets.
  • Ensure departmental completion and implementation of the care plan and assessment process for all residents.
