About The Position

Senior Resource Group is hiring a temporary Activities / Programs Director for Avocet Playa Vista, with the possibility of the role becoming permanent after approximately 90 days. The position pays $2,500–$2,700 biweekly. The Director designs and delivers activities, programs, outings, and events that enrich residents’ lives and promote satisfaction and social connection. The role also creates communications materials, coordinates programming with department heads, manages the activities budget and team, and gathers resident feedback to improve programs. The position works under general supervision while requiring the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Responsibilities

Design and implement creative activities, programs, outings, and events that support residents’ personal satisfaction and enrichment.
Develop newsletters, flyers, activity calendars, one-pagers, and other materials that promote awareness and engagement among residents, families, and staff.
Collaborate with department heads to ensure programming is visible across the community.
Plan and implement activities, outings, and programs proactively.
Control costs and manage the activities budget.
Manage and inspire the activities team.
Promote participation and social connection among residents.
Gather resident feedback and adjust programs to meet residents’ needs.
Involve family members and guests in activities and programs whenever possible.
Work independently under general supervision.
