About The Position
The Server works in the Fine Dining in-house restaurant at Avocet Playa Vista, serving food to residents and guests as part of a team. The restaurant offers made-to-order dining with fresh ingredients, fine china, and evolving seasonal and regional menus. The position has no late nights. Training is provided, and servers must maintain required food handler certifications.
Responsibilities
- Prepare tables and present menus.
- Answer questions and make suggestions regarding food and service.
- Stay knowledgeable about posted daily specials.
- Write food orders and relay them to the kitchen.
- Serve courses from the kitchen and service bars.
- Clear and reset counters or tables after each course.
- Keep dining tables, chairs, floors, linens, and serving stations clean, bussed, and stocked.
- Maintain required food handler certifications.
