About The Position

Senior Resource Group is hiring an Activities / Programs Director for Avocet Playa Vista. This is a temporary role of approximately 90 days, with the possibility of becoming permanent. The position designs and delivers activities, programs, outings, and events that enrich residents’ lives and support their personal satisfaction and social connection. The director develops communications materials, coordinates programming visibility with other department heads, manages the activities budget and team, and uses resident feedback to adapt programs. The role works under general supervision while requiring independence, reliability, organization, creativity, strong communication, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. The stated pay rate is $2,500–$2,700 biweekly.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement innovative, creative activities, programs, outings, and events that enrich residents’ lives.
• Create newsletters, flyers, activity calendars, one-pagers, and other materials to support awareness and engagement among residents, families, and staff.
• Collaborate with department heads to ensure programming is visible across the community.
• Proactively plan and implement activities, outings, and programs.
• Control costs and manage the activities budget.
• Manage and inspire the activities team.
• Promote participation and foster social connection among residents.
• Gather resident feedback and adjust programs to meet residents’ needs.
• Involve family members and guests in activities and programs whenever possible.
