About The Position

Providence Healthcare is seeking a full-time Activities Director to plan and provide activities that support and maintain residents’ quality of life by addressing their social, physical, spiritual, and mental health. The role provides supportive activities for residents in a comfortable environment. The ideal candidate has strong interpersonal skills, exceptional customer service, and a desire to serve seniors. Candidates must have prior experience working with elderly patients and be able to speak and read English.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of experience working with residents in long-term care or in a similar occupation.
• Previous experience working with elderly patients.
• At least minimal experience planning and directing activities for elderly residents and planning and organizing special programs for residents, families, and staff.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to display enthusiasm and a positive attitude in promoting activities and enlisting facility team members’ support.
• Ability to speak and read English.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Must pass a background check.
