About The Position

The Activities Director (Life Enrichment) plans and implements recreation and life-enrichment programming for residents of The Addison of Oviedo, an assisted living and memory care community in Oviedo, Florida. The role develops activities that accommodate residents’ individual needs and preferences, involves residents in setting recreation objectives, and supports residents’ connection with the broader community through facility activities and outings. The director also promotes a positive community image and builds relationships through communications and promotional materials.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in Therapeutic Recreation or a related field.

Nice To Haves

Certification as an Activity Professional.
Two years of activities management experience.

Responsibilities

Plan, schedule, and implement activities across a seven-day calendar.
Identify each resident’s special needs and create plans to accommodate them.
Involve residents in planning recreation objectives and goals.
Integrate residents with the community through facility activities and outings.
Create a positive image and establish relationships within the community, including through press relations, promotional activities, scrapbooks, and facility displays.
