About The Position

The Activities Director (Life Enrichment) plans and delivers recreation and life-enrichment activities for residents of The Addison of Oakleaf, a senior living community offering independent living, assisted living, and memory care. The position develops activities that accommodate residents’ individual needs and preferences, includes residents in setting recreation objectives and goals, and connects residents with the broader community through facility activities and outings. The director also supports a positive community image and relationships through promotional activities, press relations, scrapbooks, and facility displays.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in Therapeutic Recreation or a related field.

Nice To Haves

Certification as an Activity Professional is preferred.
Two years of activities management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Plan, schedule, and implement activities for a seven-day weekly calendar.
Identify each resident’s special needs and create plans to accommodate them.
Involve residents in planning their recreation objectives and goals.
Integrate residents with the community through facility activities and outings.
Promote a positive image and establish good community relationships, including through press relations, promotional activities, scrapbooks, and facility displays.
