About The Position

The Activities Director at Park Place of West Knoxville in Knoxville, Tennessee, plans, organizes, and implements activity and leisure programs designed to meet residents’ social, spiritual, intellectual, emotional, educational, and physical needs and interests, in accordance with each resident’s comprehensive care plan. Requirements

• Have a passion for working with seniors.
• Have a flexible, fun, and energetic personality.
• Hold a bachelor’s degree in recreation therapy or a related area.
• Be licensed or registered nationally or in the state in which practicing.
• Have at least one year of experience as an Activities Director in an LTC, SNF, assisted living, or memory care setting.
• Have two years of experience conducting social and recreational programs within the past five years, including at least one full-time year in a resident activities program in a health care setting.
• Maintain a professional image in appearance and behavior.
• Have excellent written and oral communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Accreditation as a Certified Activities Director is preferred.
