About The Position
Providence Park Rehabilitation & HealthCare Center is seeking an Activities Director for its skilled nursing facility in Mobile, Alabama. The Director plans, coordinates, implements, and executes activity programs for all residents. The successful candidate leads group activities, assists residents to and from activities, and ensures residents’ spiritual development, emotional, recreational, and social needs are met and maintained on an individual basis. The role calls for a positive attitude and a passion for serving residents in a skilled nursing facility.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED, or completion of secondary education.
- At least one year of work experience in a related field.
- Previous experience in a supervisory capacity.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Must speak and understand English.
- Positive attitude toward the elderly.
- Ability to maintain resident confidentiality and treat residents with kindness, dignity, and respect.
- Certified Recreation Specialist or two years of equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
