About The Position

Glen Park at Ojai is seeking a passionate and creative Activities Director to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors with memory impairments. The Activities Director is responsible for designing and leading engaging programs that promote socialization, independence, and overall well-being for our memory care residents.

Requirements

At least 18 years of age
Minimum of 1 year related experience (senior living preferred)
Current CPR and First Aid certification
Ability to pass a physical exam and criminal background clearance

Responsibilities

Design and conduct daily activities that encourage social interaction, cognitive stimulation, physical movement, and continued independence.
Plan and lead socialization activities such as reminiscence groups, current events discussions, bingo, arts & crafts, music, pet therapy, and interactive group activities.
Facilitate daily living skills activities including walking groups, snack times, community outings, and structured daily routines.
Organize and lead leisure activities like card games, bowling, movie matinees, gardening, and interest-based programming.
Implement physical activities such as exercise programs, dancing, range-of-motion activities, strength-building games, and coordination exercises.
Coordinate educational programs with guest speakers on topics like safety, travel, faith-based studies, and lifelong learning.
