About The Position

The Activities Assistant collaborates with staff to promote resident satisfaction and happiness and positive relationships among residents, families, and staff. The role is suited to a fun-loving person who is passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of those served. The position facilitates group and individual programming, supports resident care planning, maintains recreation supplies and equipment, works with volunteers, and helps plan and lead special events.

Requirements

• Knowledge of the practical application of recreation service programs.
• Ability to relate positively and favorably to residents and families and to work cooperatively with employees at all levels.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding patient and company proprietary information.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate assigned group programs in a timely and efficient manner.
• Complete assigned documentation.
• Contribute to preparation for resident care planning.
• Provide assigned individual programming.
• Maintain recreation department supplies and equipment.
• Work with volunteers as assigned.
• Assist with planning and leadership of special events.
