About The Position

La Vida Llena is seeking a compassionate, energetic Activities Assistant for its senior living community. The role supports therapeutic and life-enriching programs that promote residents’ physical, emotional, and social well-being across Assisted Living, Memory Support, and Skilled areas. The assistant works with staff and volunteers to deliver engaging, person-centered activities and build positive relationships that encourage resident participation. The position is full-time, with a schedule of 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday. The stated wage range is $16.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience with activities in Assisted Living, Memory Support, or Skilled Nursing.
A team-focused, compassionate approach and strong communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of gerontology, dementia, anatomy and physiology, or recreation therapy.
CPR/AED and First Aid certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

Support the planning and execution of therapeutic, recreational, and social activities.
Lead and assist with programs tailored to residents’ interests and needs.
Collaborate with volunteers and staff to create a warm, inclusive environment.
Build positive relationships with residents to encourage engagement and participation.
