About The Position

The Courville at Bedford-Carlyle Place is an Assisted Living Community in Bedford, NH, recognized for its personalized service and care. We are seeking a Part-time Activities Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone looking for evening work, such as an empty-nester or a college student. The Activities Assistant will support the director in planning and executing resident activities, while also providing crucial social and emotional support to individual residents, ensuring their safety and well-being in accordance with established standards and regulations. Successful candidates will be independent thinkers, self-motivated, organized, and possess a positive, upbeat attitude.

Requirements

Must have experience working with people.
Must enjoy working with the elderly.
Experience working with the elderly (LNA or Activities experience preferred).
Ability to work as a team and with other departments collaboratively.
Ability to meet the physical and mental and emotional challenges of the job.
Interest in learning to move and transport residents.
Report to work as scheduled and demonstrate dependability and punctuality.

Responsibilities

Assist the director in planning and implementing resident activities.
Provide social and emotional support to individual residents.
Run daily activities that engage residents.
Develop new activities that appeal to residents' interests.
Observe the status of residents regarding physical, emotional, social, and spiritual health and report changes to nursing staff.
Observe resident's rights.
Assist in the evacuation of residents in an emergency.
Willing to help out in the Kitchen and Dining Room.
Willing to accommodate residents with physical and behavioral challenges.
Perform other duties as assigned.
