About The Position

The Village at Proprietors Green (VPG) is a well-established (149-unit) Luxury Apartment Senior Living Community offering a continuum of Independent, Assisted Living and Memory Care apartments in Marshfield MA. VPG is part of Welch Senior Living, a family-owned provider of Senior services for over 75 years. This Full-time position is for an Activities Assistant in Memory Care, responsible for developing and executing diverse activities, encouraging resident participation, and fostering social interaction. It requires compassion, strong communication, and organizational skills to create engaging and fun experiences for Residents with various abilities and backgrounds. This is a 32 or 40 hour per week position, and includes every other weekend.

Requirements

Must have a High School degree or equivalent
Requires compassion, strong communication and organizational skills
Interest and demonstrated ability to work with the elderly

Nice To Haves

Previous work in a hospitality, assisted living or health care setting preferred
Individualized skills in crafts, music, education and physical activities are helpful

Responsibilities

Develops and assists in the execution of a diverse range of activities, from arts and crafts to outings and social events
Encourages and assists Residents to join in activities fostering social interaction and providing one-on-one engagement
Create engaging and fun experiences for Residents with various abilities and backgrounds
