About The Position

Freedom Square of Seminole is seeking a part-time Activities Assistant / Caregiver to join the Community Life Services department at its Assisted Living Facility. The role combines planning and supporting resident activities with caregiving duties. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The community describes itself as an upscale senior living community in Seminole, Florida, with a range of residential options and services, activities, and care settings.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with seniors in recreation, music, fitness, and/or social administration.
• Geriatric experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and implement on-property activities and events.
• Attend off-property trips, special events, and parties.
• Prepare and distribute the monthly activities calendar and other communication materials.
• Manage the digital broadcast of events through the in-house channel.
• Coordinate transportation for off-campus events.
• Assist residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting, and exercising.
• Respond promptly to signal lights.
• Transfer, transport, and escort residents as needed.
• Give treatments, perform tests, carry out procedures, and collect specimens as instructed.
• Report and record observations and results of treatments, tests, procedures, and specimens when indicated.
• Change bed linens, make beds, and keep rooms clean and orderly.
