About The Position

The IAC Activism Program Manager serves as the primary regional resource for pro-Israel advocacy, community engagement, and combating antisemitism throughout the Los Angeles region. This role is responsible for implementing and supporting activism initiatives, educational programs, community mobilization efforts, and strategic partnerships that empower community members to advocate for Israel and respond to antisemitism. Working closely with the Los Angeles Regional Director and the LA team, this position will help maintain and grow a vibrant activist network through educational programming, volunteer engagement, coalition building, and community response efforts. This is a 25-hour-per-week TEMP position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Strong connection to both Israeli and American identities. Knowledge of its people, culture, conflicts, history, etc.
  • Strong social skills and experience in community building.
  • Experience facilitating groups, training, or community programs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite products and social networking tools.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Good operational & administrative management.
  • Ability to get along with all levels within the organization.
  • Fluently speaks, reads, and writes in English & Hebrew

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the Israeli and/or Jewish sector is a plus.
  • Experience in pro-Israel advocacy, Jewish communal organizations, or community organizing
  • Experience working with volunteers.
  • Experience in fundraising or grant writing

Responsibilities

  • Recruit and promote Teen Ambassadorship programs, Parent Task Forces, and educational initiatives.
  • Help create and maintain a strong network of engaged community activists.
  • Organize educational workshops, community gatherings, trainings, and advocacy events.
  • Recruit, engage, and support volunteers interested in pro-Israel activism and community advocacy.
  • Monitor local incidents of antisemitism and anti-Israel activity impacting the community.
  • Support community members experiencing antisemitism or national origin discrimination.
  • Assist with National initiatives and responses to incidents within local schools and educational settings.
  • Develop relationships with educators, school administrators, districts, and community stakeholders to advance educational outreach efforts.
  • Provide information, resources, and advocacy support to community members when needed.
  • Maintain relationships with schools, synagogues, campuses, community organizations, and pro-Israel partners.
  • Support local activism committees and maintain strong relationships with committee members.
  • Participate in community coalitions and collaborative initiatives that advance IAC's mission and advocacy goals.
  • Support the growth and management of activism-related communications, including newsletters, social media, and community outreach campaigns.
  • Promote events, training, advocacy opportunities, and calls to action through various communication channels.
  • Represent IAC professionally at community meetings, events, and advocacy activities.
  • Collaborate with the National IAC Team and regional staff to support organizational priorities and campaigns.
  • Participate in local and national team efforts to achieve organizational goals.
  • Attend community events, Israel-related programs, trainings, and meetings as needed.
