Kaplan delivers innovative interventions and prep programs to help students advance their education and realize their potential. As an ACT Teacher, you will teach students onsite in an engaging classroom at a local high school during school hours. Classes run from October through March, typically two to three times per week. There may also be opportunities to teach and tutor college-bound students virtually throughout the year. Paid training is provided for content areas and teaching modalities. The role includes preparing students for exams using a curated curriculum and teaching methods designed to immerse them in the ACT, supporting students inside and outside class as they develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to tailor educational content to student needs. Teachers continue learning through professional training, coaching, and development. The part-time schedule may allow teachers to pursue other professional interests. Training and class preparation can be completed from home, with colleagues connected remotely. The advertised teaching rates are $75 per hour for in-person teaching and $35 per hour for online tutoring.
