About The Position

St. Vincent's Hospital Westchester, a Division of St. Joseph's Medical Center, is seeking a part-time psychiatrist to work in their Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team based in Staten Island, NY. This is an in-person position where the psychiatrist will meet patients in their homes and in the community. The role involves clinically guiding the team and providing direct patient care to approximately 34 active patients (half of the team's caseload). The ACT team consists of registered nurses, social workers, case managers, therapists, and office support staff who collaborate to help patients remain engaged in their communities and reduce hospitalizations. St. Vincent's Hospital has a long history of providing behavioral health services on Staten Island and offers a full continuum of inpatient and outpatient mental health services.

Requirements

• Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry
• Active New York Medical License
• Active DEA Controlled Substance Registration Certificate
