About The Position

QED Systems, LLC, is currently recruiting an Acquisition Support Specialist to join our team in Fort Belvoir, VA to support our customer, Project Manager Expeditionary Energy & Sustainment Systems (PM E2S2). This role involves providing comprehensive acquisition program management support to various product teams, assisting in the development and drafting of critical acquisition documentation. The specialist will also provide functional and technical direction, support overall product management policies, and conduct workforce training on acquisition processes. A key aspect of the role is serving as a subject matter expert in Acquisition, educating the workforce, and tracking evolving acquisition policy, applying in-depth knowledge of DoD 5000 series publications and acquisition policy.

Requirements

  • Detail-oriented with excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Senior level military and acquisition experience required.
  • ACTIVE CLEARANCE LEVEL REQUIRED: Secret

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in business or accounting preferred.
  • DAWIA Level III in Program Management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Acquisition Program Management support designed to assist various product teams in developing and drafting acquisition documentation including, but not limited to: Acquisition Strategies and Plans, Acquisition Program Baselines, Test and Evaluation Master Plans, System Engineering Plans, Life Cycle Sustainment Plans.
  • Provides functional and technical direction in the design, development, acquisition, production, fielding and post deployment support of government programs.
  • Supports the government in overall product management policies, plans, requirements, execution, control and direction of the work and associated resources involved in providing life cycle management.
  • Plans and conducts workforce training and leads discussions on acquisition processes and reform initiatives.
  • Develop, draft, provide, and update documentation for acquisition programs to include all documentation required for program Milestone events (MDD, MS A, MS B, MS C, Full Rate Production, Type Classification/Material Release, etc.).
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in Acquisition, aiding in educating the workforce and tracking evolving Acquisition policy.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of the DoD 5000 series publications, acquisition policy and critical thinking skills to assist product teams with developing, maintaining, and coordinating decision packages (e.g., Milestone B, Type Classification, Materiel Release) for approval.
  • Utilize collaboration software (e.g., Microsoft SharePoint, Global Electronic Approval Routing System) to maintain, route, track, and update documentation.
  • Support program personnel with programmatic related actions including preparation of Program Reviews, Decision Briefs, Quad Charts, and Program Procurement and RDT&E Forms.
  • Provide support to Combat Development community, as required, and assist with the development/update of requirements documents for programs.
