Our team members have proven experience leading strategic initiatives within the civilian Government agencies. Note: This position is pending award and selection therefore is contingent in nature. RCS is seeking an Acquisition Specialist to support all facets of contract and acquisition administration for Navy medical research, including deliverable processing, documentation, and compliance in a high-volume federal environment. This position requires the candidate to meet specific Security Clearance obligations to work onsite/hybrid in San Diego, CA.

Requirements

Able to obtain Public Trust clearance.
U.S. Citizenship required (NO EXCEPTIONS)
Bachelor's degree (required).
3+ years' relevant federal or DoD contract, acquisition, or admin experience (or equivalent per GSA LCAT).
Familiarity with file/document control and federal contract deliverable requirements.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Prepare and review contract modification and closeout packages; ensure accuracy and completeness.
Perform contract deliverable reviews (including invoices and travel/ODC requests) to verify compliance with requirements, funding, and approval standards.
Draft documentation for COR review and support recurring administrative file maintenance.
Resolve routine discrepancies by coordinating with vendors, program, or finance staff.
Ensure up-to-date and compliant electronic filing of all contract records.
Support daily and weekly process reviews, participate in team huddles and surge coverage.
