About The Position

Mobilia Interiors Inc., a leader in contemporary furniture, is seeking a Buyer Planner for a maternity leave replacement. The start date is scheduled for mid-June to allow for a transition period, with full responsibilities beginning in July. Reporting to the Director of Purchasing, Planning & Visual Presentation, you will be responsible for optimizing sales performance and profitability through rigorous and strategic management of inventory, procurement, and product allocation.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in retail
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen
  • Strong communication skills and cross-functional collaboration abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Access)
  • Bilingual (French and English, spoken and written)

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Power BI

Responsibilities

  • Analyze sales and inventory data to optimize stock levels, turnover, and profitability
  • Ensure product replenishment and efficient distribution of merchandise across stores
  • Manage inventory transfers and maintain an optimal balance between warehouse and stores
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and produce reports to support decision-making
  • Identify growth opportunities and recommend optimization strategies
  • Work closely with purchasing, merchandising, and operations teams
  • Contribute to purchasing budget management and achievement of business objectives
