About The Position

This role is crucial for processing Medicaid Pending Applications through approval, handling QMB applications, and managing Redeterminations. The position also involves booking and collecting patient liability, and collaborating with responsible parties and DSS to resolve discrepancies in patient liability and eligibility dates. Requirements

3+ years of experience in Connecticut Medicaid
Knowledge of Medicaid regulations in Long Term Care
Able to prioritize and organize tasks at hand to meet specific deadlines.
Able to work with a diverse group of people.

Responsibilities

Process all Medicaid Pending Applications through approval.
Process QMB applications.
Process and track Redetermination.
Book and collect patient liability.
Work with responsible parties and DSS on all patient liability and eligibility date discrepancies.
Perform regular reconciliations of accounts, identify discrepancies, and collaborate with relevant departments to resolve issues promptly.
Interact with residents, families, and external partners to address billing inquiries and provide clear, empathetic explanations when needed.
Prepare and analyze accounts receivable reports, providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency.
