About The Position

Clearbrook, an agency dedicated to enriching lives and embracing potential for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, is seeking a professional to join our Business Office team. In this role, you will perform a variety of insurance billing functions, submit and process all claims, and enter all clinical billing. You will report directly to the Director of Accounting.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable by Clearbrook.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug test within 10 days of the job offer.
  • Must pass an Illinois state criminal background check and a DCFS CANTS background check with no disqualifying conditions.
  • Must pass a TB test within 30 days of employment.
  • Must be computer proficient with the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Minimum: High School education or equivalent with at least 3 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with enrolling with current insurance companies, verify benefits for insurance clients prior to therapy sessions, and work with clinicians to get them credentialed.
  • Submit and process all claims for the CHILD program, process Community Mental Health billing, and enter related cash receipts and billing into the Financial Edge system.
  • Rectify rejected claims and clinical billing in a timely manner.
  • Ensure required authorizations and prescriptions for therapy clients are current, and write contacts for clients over age three requesting continuing therapy.
  • Reconcile monthly client banking for the ICFs and cross-train in other duties including ROCS entry and cash deposits.
  • Maintain strict client confidentiality, complete mandatory annual training, and serve as a backup for therapist enrollment in the IMPACT system.
