About The Position

Providence Anesthesiology Associates is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable (AR) Representative to join our team. The AR Representative will be responsible for timely and accurate insurance follow-up and claims denial management in accordance with company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have over one year of experience in healthcare/medical accounts receivable and strong problem-solving skills.

Requirements

High school diploma required; Associates degree preferred
Over one year of experience in healthcare/medical accounts receivable is required; medical billing is preferred
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with medical billing software

Responsibilities

Perform daily AR tasks, including aging reports, denial management, and credit balance resolution, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for multiple clients.
Identify and correct billing errors, resubmit claims, and initiate appeals with commercial and government payers as needed.
Analyze and resolve reimbursement discrepancies, reporting issues, trends, and discrepancies to the AR Supervisor while assisting with solutions.
Research payer requirements, communicate with insurance carriers, and implement procedures to optimize collections in compliance with federal and state regulations.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA standards and support additional duties as assigned within the scope of responsibility.
