About The Position

Cintas is seeking an Accounts Receivable Representative to perform accounts receivable functions and collect outstanding customer balances. The role involves monitoring assigned accounts, contacting customers about payment status, negotiating payment deadlines or plans, responding to questions and complaints, and investigating and resolving discrepancies. The representative maintains customer relationships and accurate account records, alerts supervisors when customers cannot or will not pay, and follows applicable requirements when legal action is unavoidable.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of collections experience.
• Ability to use confidential information professionally to achieve collections targets and goals.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook), intranet, and internet.

• Experience with SAP and AS400.

Responsibilities

• Track assigned accounts to identify outstanding debts.
• Plan and pursue actions to recover outstanding payments.
• Contact customers by phone and locate debtors regarding payment status.
• Negotiate payoff deadlines or payment plans.
• Handle customer questions and complaints.
• Investigate and resolve account discrepancies.
• Establish good relationships with customers.
• Regularly update account status and databases.
• Alert supervisors when customers are unwilling or unable to pay outstanding amounts.
• Comply with requirements when legal action is unavoidable.
