About The Position

Holt Logistics Corp. is a family-owned, single-source service provider of commercial, accounting, marketing, and technology services to marine terminal operators, warehouses, and logistics companies. This role coordinates accounts receivable and collection activities, ensuring an accurate accounts receivable system for multi-company accounts.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience in accounts receivable and/or billing department
• Minimum two (2) year college degree
• Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel (V-Look Ups), Lotus Notes, Outlook
• Ability to professionally work with a high volume
• Will be required to be bonded. Must clear background screening and required drug & alcohol testing.
• Ability to work well with others in a team player atmosphere.

Nice To Haves

• AS400 experience preferred; but not required

Responsibilities

• Responsible for collection activities such as sending follow-up inquiries, negotiating with past due accounts, maintaining cash receipts
• Reconcile and provide account statements to customers for collection efforts
• Responsible for accuracy and corrections to customer accounts, reconciliation of revenue accounts, verification of deposits, and postings to accounts receivable
• Problem solving with various internal billing departments for errors in customer billing
• Reviews disputes and processes allowances/credits to reconcile errors
• Create credit memos as needed
• Works closely with the Marketing/Sales team to solve neglected accounts
• Prepares bank deposits and posts to accounts receivable
• Arrange payment terms with customer for release of containers
• Develop a positive working relationship with customers
• Other duties as assigned
