About The Position

Cintas is seeking an Accounts Receivable Representative to perform accounts receivable functions and collect outstanding payments. The role involves significant phone interaction with customers, resolving account questions and discrepancies, and maintaining accurate account records. The representative builds customer relationships, works to recover overdue amounts, and escalates cases when customers are unwilling or unable to pay. The role also requires compliance with applicable requirements when legal action is unavoidable.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of collections experience.
• Ability to use confidential information professionally to achieve collections targets or goals.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, and with intranet/internet.

• Excellent internal and external customer service skills.
• Experience with SAP and AS400.

Responsibilities

• Track assigned accounts to identify outstanding debts.
• Plan courses of action to recover outstanding payments.
• Contact customers by phone regarding payment status and locate debtors.
• Negotiate payment deadlines or payment plans.
• Handle customer questions and complaints.
• Investigate and resolve account discrepancies.
• Establish good relationships with customers.
• Regularly update account status and databases.
• Alert supervisors when customers are unwilling or unable to pay outstanding amounts.
• Comply with requirements when legal action is unavoidable.
