Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required
  • 3+ years of accounting experience in both AR and AP is required
  • Intermediatory in Microsoft Excel and prior experience with ERP systems, accounting software, financial systems is required
  • Knowledge of basic accounting procedures
  • Excellent time management, analytical, and organizational skills paired with strong conflict resolution and communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills partnered with the ability to communicate effectively through proper understanding of the Organization’s goals and expectations of internal customers
  • Ability to deliver results in a timely manner, without compromising on accuracy

Nice To Haves

  • CPA designation or in progress is an asset
  • Prior accounting, costing, analysis, and financial reporting experience in a food manufacturing environment is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Communication of invoices to customers and conduct account reconciliations.
  • Create and issue AR aging/sales reports, metrics reports, and credit notes.
  • Issue balance sheet account reconciliations related to AR.
  • Cash applications to AR against daily bank activity.
  • Verify validity of account discrepancies and follow up with past due payments by obtaining and investigating information from sales, customer service departments, and from customers.
  • Update client billing information and maintain documentation for compliance reporting and audits.
  • Support with year end Audits.
  • Compliance with all rules & policies regarding health safety, occupational safety, environmental safety, food safety, legal regulations, company requirements etc.
  • Compliance with the Company's Integrated Management Systems which includes, but is not limited to Production, Quality, Food Safety & GMP.
  • Other duties as assigned.
