About The Position
South Plains Rural Health Services is seeking a skilled and reliable Accounts Receivable Clerk to join their Levelland team. This full-time position supports finance operations, assists patients with professionalism, and contributes to a positive clinic environment. Employment offers are contingent upon a drug screen, background check, and proof of current seasonal influenza vaccination.
Requirements
- Accounts receivable/payable experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy record-keeping requirements
- The ability to establish and maintain appropriate filing system for the retrieval of needed information
Responsibilities
- Assists other members of the medical office team as required or assigned.
- Performs other necessary duties as required by the Chief Financial Officer to meet the goal of providing primary health care services.
- Prepares billing forms for all third-party payers including Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance.
- Stays up to date on all changes or adjustments in billing procedures enacted by third party payers.
- Bills third-party payers on a current basis in no circumstances more than 30 days from the date of services.
- Review all invoices for coding to input in accounting system.
