About The Position

The Save Mart Companies is seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join their team in Modesto, CA. This Level IV position is responsible for the receipt and accounting of funds paid to the organization. The Clerk will maintain accurate and timely collection of receivables, ensure adherence to policies and regulations, and act as a liaison with vendors, agencies, and other company departments. Key duties include making journal entries and reconciliations, ensuring proper processes for company receivables, and preparing reports and analyses for upper management.

Requirements

• Knowledge of systems and processes as they relate and apply to Accounts Receivable
• Attention to detail
• 10-key experience
• Able to work independently on routine work
• Ability to multi-task with excellent follow-through

• Experienced in Excel, PowerPoint , and Word
• Six months of related experience

Responsibilities

• Applies customer payments
• Researches and solves payment discrepancies
• Processes credit card payments and credits
• Makes adjustments to accounts as needed
• Prepares weekly manual deposits
• Prepares weekly reports
• Prepares journal entries and reconciliations
• Researches variances in P&Ls and Consolidated Financial Statements
• Copying, filing, faxing
• Performs other duties as assigned
