About The Position

TransX Ltd. has an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Receivable & Cash Applications Clerk to join our Business Automation & Customer Experience team in Winnipeg. Reporting to the Cash Applications Supervisor, this position is responsible for processing customer payments, ensuring record accuracy, and supporting the accounting team with day-to-day financial tasks. The role is critical to the business as it ensures the smooth flow of work within the accounting team by maintaining organized payment records and resolving discrepancies promptly.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 1-3 years’ experience in accounts receivable, banking, or finance
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and financial software
  • Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and manage daily tasks with minimal supervision
  • Positive attitude and ability to collaborate within a team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Basic knowledge of banking principles would be an asset
  • Experience in the trucking industry is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Posting and applying daily remittances and entering details into the accounting system.
  • Investigating unapplied payments, preparing weekly reports, and reducing unapplied balances through reconciliation.
  • Processing credits, debits, voids, and rebills while following audit requirements.
  • Responding to inquiries from auditors and customers and providing supporting documentation for account reviews.
  • Reconciling daily and monthly bank statements and resolving discrepancies.
  • Maintaining organized, audit-ready AR files through scanning and labeling deposit documents.
  • Compiling and verifying AR data for monthly closing and financial reporting.
