About The Position

American Pest is seeking an Accounts Receivable & Billing Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of billing and collections. This role involves taking ownership of revenue-to-cash conversion, setting expectations, enhancing processes, and ensuring the team prioritizes effectively. The manager will collaborate with accounting, operations, and customer service to resolve issues, reduce aging balances, and maintain cash flow. The ideal candidate is comfortable leading a team, focusing on details, and implementing practical improvements.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as an Accounts Receivable Manager or Lead.
  • A strong understanding of accounting principles and financial practices.
  • A strong understanding and functional application of MS Office Suite.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel (multi-level sorting/filtering, working with pivot tables).
  • The ability to effectively manage time, prioritize multiple tasks, and maximize performance while remaining customer-focused.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to quickly learn multiple web-based software programs.
  • Strong data entry skills and a high level of accuracy.
  • The ability to be a positive, upbeat team player.
  • Concern for helping people and an aptitude for making people feel important and valued.
  • The ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
  • Legal eligibility to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • 2- or 4-year college degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of billing, collections, and accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Monitor aging and outstanding balances, and address complex issues.
  • Keep the team focused on priorities to maintain steady cash flow.
  • Review reports and analyze data to understand performance, identify risks, and improve departmental operations.
  • Partner with accounting, operations, and customer service to resolve issues from invoicing through payment.
  • Lead and develop the team by setting clear expectations, providing feedback, and ensuring consistent standards.
