About The Position

As a leading care provider for elders through our residential care services and community-based PACE program that keeps people connected in the community, and our grant-making foundation that supports affordable housing with services, workforce development and quality of life. We are seeking a full-time Accounts Receivable Associate-Payer Specialist to manage all A/R systems, the month end close process and correct census, McGregor PACE A/R, and the entire Medicaid process for long-term care (LTC) residents. This position allows flexibility with a 4/10 work schedule after the successful completion of the introductory period.

Requirements

Ability to write routine reports.
Knowledge of basic computer, Excel, and accounting software.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college/technical school preferred.
Two to three (2-3) years of Medicare or Medicaid billing preferred, Medicaid eligibility/application experience preferred, billing experience in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain correct up-to-date daily census and charges for all McGregor companies reconciling with proper reporting sources.
Timely identification of any payer changes/eligibility within the Medicaid system (MITS) including MyCare changes and share of cost changes and address any issues that arise from such changes.
Coordinate the Medicaid pending/new application process from beginning to end. Work closely with families/residents to ensure all data is collected and sent to Medicaid timely. Work closely with Cuyahoga County to ensure applications are being reviewed and approved timely, renewals and all Medicaid issues processed timely.
Process all Medicaid Authorized Representative documents for all LTC McGregor residents.
Post all Medicaid and Medicare payments to McGregor PACE A/R and address any outstanding balances related to Medicaid and Medicare payers.
