About The Position

Accounts Receivable Analyst monitors and maintains the aging of the Electronic Health Record (EHR) System. This role involves verifying daily billing, correcting rejections, and working with various audit reports to ensure accurate reimbursement for services rendered. The analyst will also collaborate with other departments and management to resolve issues and ensure compliance with agency standards.

Requirements

  • Possession of a High School Diploma or equivalent with previous work in billing activities.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills to deal with staff, person(s)-served, etc.
  • Ability to handle large volume.
  • Attention to detail is a high priority to ensure work tasks are being completed thoroughly and correctly.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business related environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain the aging of the Electronic Health Record (EHR) System.
  • Verify daily billing by checking accepted and rejected services, making needed corrections.
  • Identify and post all other rejections needing corrections made by staff members.
  • Work closely with the Billing Supervisor regarding issues that may interfere with accurate reimbursement of services rendered.
  • Identify and escalate issues to management in a timely manner.
  • Work various unapplied and outstanding audit reports.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Comply with learning/development assignments.
  • Cross train in essential department job duties and functions.
  • Participate at relevant site staff meetings and in-service training opportunities.
  • Notify Billing Supervisor regarding the status of deadlines and job duties.
  • Solve problems and make sound judgments and decisions based on fact.
  • Work with other departments as needed with problems, questions or special projects.
  • Orally communicate information effectively and accurately.
  • Assure program operates within the constraints of the agency’s certification (CARF, DMH) standards and strategic plan related to clinical care.
  • Abide by program and agency policies and procedures.
  • Perform other job duties and special projects as assigned.
