About The Position

Sunbelt Home Solutions is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable Specialist to join their growing team in St. Petersburg, Florida. This role is ideal for someone early in their accounting career with a basic understanding of A/R and A/P, who is eager to learn and develop their skills. Extensive experience is not required, as the company is willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates attention to detail, organization, and a willingness to grow. The position is full-time, on-site, and offers a Monday-Friday schedule from 8 am to 5 pm.

Requirements

• Entry-level accounting experience or relevant education is welcome
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Organized and able to manage multiple priorities
• Comfortable communicating with different departments
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Nice To Haves

• Basic knowledge of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable preferred, but not required
• QuickBooks experience is preferred
• Lead Perfection experience is a plus, but not required
• Willingness to learn, take feedback, and continue developing your accounting skills

Responsibilities

• Enter daily customer invoices, vendor bills, and credit card charges
• Monitor aging reports and follow up on payment delays or discrepancies
• Apply customer payments and maintain accurate A/R records
• Reconcile A/R, A/P, and credit card accounts at month-end
• Work with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing questions
• Communicate with the production team regarding subcontractor and vendor issues
• Help maintain accurate and organized financial records
