About The Position

Our Payables team is seeking an ambitious individual with a keen eye for detail to join their team as an Accounts Payable Technician. In this role, you will have many opportunities to work on special assignments that will assist our office in giving back to the community! In addition to learning how our office plays an integral role in serving the community as the “County Watchdog” under our Comptroller functions. Requirements

• High school diploma (or GED), supplemented by three (3) years of recent and relevant experience
• Some vocational or college courses preferred
• An equivalent combination of education, training and experience

Responsibilities

• Operates various office equipment as required to perform their assigned duties
• Assists other unit personnel in supporting efficient functioning of the work unit
• Performs a variety of essential record keeping duties; manages department or unit record keeping and filing system
• Utilizes various automated business management systems
• Generates correspondence, memos, agendas, requisitions, reports, and other relevant materials appropriate to assigned unit; performs a wide variety of administrative duties in supporting departmental functions, i.e., answering telephones, processing unit mail, copying materials, filing materials, records search
• Takes telephone inquiries related to invoicing or records, ascertaining the nature of the call, and resolving personally or directing to the appropriate individual or department
• Receives and reviews various reports, and documentation for the purpose of verifying accuracy; ensures necessary copies of pertinent documents are made, filed and distributed accordingly
• Acts as liaison between supervisor, other departments and outside agencies, gathering and relaying information
